NM power module vs JB+

So I just had a bad experience with the Dinan sport tuner. It fried multiple sets of spark plugs and cost me quite a bit in diagnostic time at mini. When it worked well I appreciated the extra kick it gave. I may have had a bad unit, but do not intend to install another. Now looking at the NM Engineering power module https://nm-eng.com/collections/mini-...odule-nm648846
and the Burger JB+ : https://burgertuning.com/collections...-install-tuner
Thoughts on either?
Thanks

I’ve had both and been happy with both. JB+ in my R60S for a few years, NM in the F54 JCW for the last 9 mos or so. Very different comparison since this is N18 to B48 of course, but I notice the “extra kick” more with the NM than I ever did with the JB+. Both vehicles dealer-serviced without any comments by the service advisor… not that I would really expect any unless something was wrong and they wanted to blame the module.
Good luck deciding!

Leaning towards the NM at this point. Thanks for the input.

I would look deeper into the "fried" sparkl plug issue. Dinan, NM, and Burger all use the same method to raise boost.
Not sure its a piggy back issue.
But thats my opinion.

I think perhaps the problem was "race mode" was too much boost for the engine with the gas I am running (92 + octane booster). I am going to run it for a few thousand miles with it off and if no problems try sport and maybe later sport +, but never race mode again.

My 2018 F56S does just fine with my Dinan Sport Module set to Sport+, even with our crappy California 91 octane "gasoline".

I have been enjoying my Jb+ quite a bit. I haven't adjusted the setting from what it arrives at from factory. Above 3k you notice more power, above 4k it pulls even harder. I keep the car in manual mode most of the time so theres no noticeable negatives from a DD perspective.
Can't comment on the NM but I had a buddy blow out his GTI with one.

Just bought the JB+ from ECS. Will leave it in the sport+ setting and just not mess with it. I think my problem with the Dinan was that I had it in race mode with poor gas.
