11 R55 ISTA cable type

I just got my first gen 2 (2011 R55 ) after owning 2 R53’s.

I haven’t been able to connect ISTA or INPA like I have been able to with the R53 and a 06 5 series using k+d cable.
I have even tried 2 different e-net cables ( configured the IP as per instructions) no bueno…
I have seen conflicting info.. have read the facelift cars need the e-net cable.. other say no k+d…
I can use a hand held scanner without issue to check codes but I need some of the capabilities of ISTA

what cable works with the 11+ cars? 2011 Clubman S w/ N18
any guidance would be greatly appreciated..

Thanks!

Did you have connectivity issues as well? My K D cable worked flawless with the R53 and a 5 series….

Thank you for the insight!

That one has a switch that makes it dual use between two different protocols, or something like that.. The previous one I had didn't have that switch, and wouldn't connect to the car. I can't be sure the exact reason why it was that way, but that cable linked above worked for me.
