Howdy all.

I purchased an 07 R56s for the luxury "comfort" seats and sold the car for a profit!

So, I swapped over my seat belt buckles as they are different, and stuck them in my 2013. Airbag light! Code 93C0 Passenger Seat Position Sensor.

Well here's the issue, according to RealOEM, 2007-02/2012 cars did not have a seat position sensor.

So my question is, has anyone here simply installed a seat position sensor and added it into the seat wiring harness? I have a spare drivers seat from a 2008 car that has a SPS, however the SPS connects into the same harness as the occupancy sensor mat. So if anyone has photos of late type passenger seat maybe?

Worst case, I can pick up a seat here locally from a salvage you-don't-pick-it-you-pay-us-loads-of-money-to-pick-it-for-you yard for $100 and transfer everything from that 2013 seat into the 2007 seat..

But, will see if any of you have an answer!

Okay, I need to update this as it's been a LONG time since I fixed this issue.

I had a driver side seat from a 2007 base R56 that I removed the seat position sensor, the magnet, and the wiring harness and transferred it over to the passenger lounge seat.

I then removed the pins from the 07 base seat, and put them into the same position as they were in just on the lounge seat.

Plugged it in, and BOOM! No airbag light.

All for $free.99 (as long as you have a drivers seat from some sort of 2nd gen MINI)
