Removing starter without taking off intake manifold. Help.

I have a 09 mini Cooper r56 non turbo. The starter is fried. I was able to remove it off the engine, but I can't get the sucker out the top or bottom.

Is there a trick I'm not seeing?? I really don't want to have to mess with the intake manifold and fuel rail. Any help would be greatly appreciated 👍

Heres a few pictures to see what I'm dealing with. Thanks!

If you take the lower engine torque mount off, you could swing the engine forward or back a bit, and maybe then it will fit out.

Thanks for the reply bro. That's a good idea, Im going to try and drop the exhaust to and see if I can't get a better angle on it. New starter should be here tomorrow. We'll see how it goes.

By the time you deal with the annoying rubber bits, why not just take the intake off? It's like 5 nuts and some clips. Oh, and a pesky 10mm. Takes, eh, 15 minutes.
