These are extremely rare.
Depending on the market where you want to sell these you're looking at $300 to $500.
Especially in the UK these are sought after and they are willing to pay high prices.

Personally I would keep them, you will never find another set.

Hello mate,
I have some in pristine condition, how much would I pay for it?

Was that supposed to say good or poor? Do you have a source for these? Would definitely be interested in getting a set.

Is that just a standard front badge bolted through a justa side scuttle? Without actually measuring I assumed they would be too long. More details PLEASE 😀 Thanks!!!

I know that, Captain Obvious, I wasn't going to pay the high prices for the original style Logo, if I could even find a set in good shape

It's just the side scuttles from the R50, but the front Works Logo is too big. I found smaller ones on eBay that I bolted to the scuttle. Also had to modify the washer bottles on both sides so they snapped in flush. If you want the ebay link for the one's I got, let me know.

Just be warned about people in here constantly pointing out that the Logo on mine are wrong, some people have nothing better to do than to troll posts to satisfy their ego.

I would definitely be interested in the link.

Myself being new to the Mini and JCW world I would say the only people who will know are Mini people everyone else wouldn't know the difference.

Exactly, that was my thought as well. I will find the eBay link that I bought from, I can either post it here, or send you a message about it, your choice. It won't be until later today

Here's the eBay link you wanted, I got two of the 90mm smaller ones. Also, picked up a set of the R50 side scuttle vents and mounted the JCW badges to them with hardware that came with them. I also had to modify both washer bottle tops to fit the scuttle vents with badges attached. I will post a picture of what I had to do to the washer bottles

Now remember, the "font and style" of these badges from overseas are wrong for the first generation cars, as most people will point out, even some people in here as well. Like you said, only the purists are actually offended and will tell you. Everyone else probably won't know the difference. The way I look at it, it's my car, I will do it my way. If people want to complain about them, I will let them buy me the correct style so they can be happy.

Bryan (If you need any other help. let me know)

parts arrived and ready for assembly

badge mounted to vent and excess threads cut off

Had to make a hole in the plastic bottle for the nut to clear

the chap that sells these proper R series works replica side scuttles is here in the UK, search the name steve farman on facebook also another guy makes perfect replica front n rear works badges here in uk too for $100 for both , so no need to fit r56 onwards badges which just look odd on R50 R52 R53 cars

Most excellent.

Thank you.

Found the post - much appreciate for the pointer!

In that post he also had pics of an original for comparison ---

R50 jcw side scuttles-t04f0t0.jpg
R50 jcw side scuttles-ydi09ng.jpg

--- his look damngood indeed, the genuine ones used the cloisonné style badges that are top quality kit but irk me due to how expensive they are when bought individually.

To my eye it appears that perhaps he also used a genuine badge - the one from the JCW airbox that is embossed painted metal and seems to be the correct size for the bezels.

Cannot be sure if that's what he used but the idea of it lit my wick and off I went looking for that part # and decided to go ahead and get a pair while they're still available because they ain't gonna be around forever and at some point will fall under the sad dark cloak of the dreaded NLA...

part number
13717558251

...slightly pricey for a wee piece o' thin metal tho at $35 a pop from my local dealer, order placed just this morning and will try to report on if they work or not for this application.

The tricky bit will be figuring out how to affix them so they don't fall off.

Steve Farman came up with the clever and elegant solution of a 3D printed mounting part and that is awesome.

Reporting back re:
JCW airbox badges

Looks like I won't get to try that idea because just checked my email and noticed a rejection letter from my dealer telling me that I'll be refunded
because that part is NO LONGER AVAILABLE,
oh well no biggie.

A couple of sellers on ebay still have them (Lithuania and Latvia) but cost would be higher so I'm just forgetting it for the time being.

Was sorta excited to try that experiment.

May give Steve a holler for his luverly versions after all.
