Why is my brake warning light flashing when I use turn signals?

Went out to the car (2013 MC Clubman S) this morning and got under way. Car drives great. Stops great. Everything is in fine shape. I go to make a turn and the brake light flashes. Kept making turns and the flashing continued.

The car stopped fine each time. No issues at all.

What could this be?

Does it flash when the turn signals are on and the car is going straight?
Does it only flash while you're in the process of making a turn? What happens if you stop the car mid-turn?

Have you checked the brake fluid level?

Good evening. Thanks for the questions. I just got home and started the car. With the car in park, I turned the turn signals on. The dash indicator light for the brakes blinks just as fast as it did this morning. All of the turn signals work as well as the brake lights themselves.

I decided not to take it for a spin since there might be a brake issue. In the morning I will check the fluid level.

Thanks guys!

I decided to check the fluid and I dropped the effin cap. Fluid level looked fine. I couldn't retrieve the cap.

Flash light and a telescopic magnet is how I managed to get mine to where I could reach in and grab it.

find some small hands or you are going to have to remove the wipers and the wind shield cowl, both sides.

It turned out the issue is a short in the dash.

Dealer quoted close to a grand for parts and labor.
