Third Brake Lamp Malfunction?

Just got home and parked the MINI in the garage for the night. When I got out of the car I noticed the third brake lamp was still on. I turn the light switches on and off, but nothing made it go off. I even started the car and played with the light switches. Still on. Any suggestions on how to make the third brake lamp go off? (And for the wisenheimers out there, please don't suggest unplugging the light or disconnecting the battery!)

Thanks!

I would actually suggest unplugging it, for a few minutes then plugging it back in. Its just 2 screws and then it pops out right under your S spoiler. Maybe cutting the power circuit will reset it.

OK, got it to go off. I started the car to check to see if it was the brake light or the running light that was on. It was the running light not the brake light. I turn the lights on and back to off, then to auto to off again. Then it went off. Weird. My wife had a similar problem with her headlights on the MC a while back but never did it again.

But thanks for the suggestion Jeremy1026.
