2009 JCW Front lower Grill badge

Need some help to make it easy. I just bought a new JCW badge for the front lower grill to replace the faded one. Any tips on how to get to the badge to replace it?
Thanks for any Help!! 2009 JCW R56

I’ve managed to change the badge by removing all of the panel clips from marker light to marker light and then stuffed my hand up in between the intercooler and the lower grill to install the fasteners. Not pretty, but doable.

I replaced my beaten OEM badge with this blacked out one from a seller on eBay. Solid painted stainless steel. Matches the dechromed look nicely.

Taking the front bumper off isn’t hard at all. Just watch a couple of YouTube videos on how to replace the intercooler, most of them show how to do it. Had mine off in 15 minutes and since you aren’t replacing the intercooler you don’t really need to jack the car up, but does make it easier for the under car screws and clips.

Yep, i tried to do it with the grille on and it was super hard and could not fit my hands or tools around the back. Did not try the marker light trick.

Mini Cooper JCW 2009

I finally figured it out. I took the upper grill off & my wife has skinny hands & she was able to reach down & remove the 2 nuts
& install the new one. There is quite a bit of space between there if you have small hands.
