Suspension Koni Yellow compatible with Powerflex rear mount bushings?
Koni Yellow compatible with Powerflex rear mount bushings?
Struts are due and I want to upgrade to Koni Yellows. In the interest of "what else should I do while I'm in there" it seems I should consider my rear strut bushings as well (I'm replacing the front mounts with Eibach camber plates so no need there).
I always read that there's a part that needs to be drilled out to accomodate the Konis, and now it makes me wonder whether the Powerflex bearings are compatible with Koni Yellows. Anybody with experience on matching these parts, I'd appreciate your advice. Thanks in advance.

In one spot you refer to 'bushings' and in another 'bearings.' Do you mean the bushing at the front of the rear trailing arm? I recently installed Powerflex inserts in that location, and can not imagine that Koni yellows would complicate things there.
But while I got your attention: did you like the PF bushings on the RTA? I've redone the front-end suspension with PF and it was a rewarding improvement.
Yes you can use the Powerflex rear upper shock mount bushings with the Koni Yellows, you will just use the new sleeve that comes with the Konis in the bushings.

You will still need to drill the spring top hat to fit it on the shock shaft though.
