So i have been working on this 03 r53 these last few months. I picked up the car with the intent of making this my daughters first car, we have been working on it together. The more we dug into the car the more we found things to fix/replace. Well I come across this connector I have not been able to figure out what it is to or where it goes. Spent the better [art of 3 hours trying to search for it with no luck. Can anyone tell where the hell this goes to? The second pic is the sort of things we have been finding.. / this is what I am trying to figure out. This is what we have been dealing with..
Second pic looks like the used an aftermarket o2 sensor. The plug did not match. So they cut off the old plug an attached to the new sensor. Not sure about first pic sorry.
Might need more info. In general, where the wires are coming from and going to? Can you tell the color of the wires?
Its coming off the wiring harness, right below the map sensor.. Here are some pics of where it is at where it is coming from..It is a 2 wire connector the wire colors are green/blue and blue/yellow. I am at a loss because I dont see anything in reach of the wire it would connect to.
I am not so sure but You may want to check the Stop/Reverse Lights connector between the firewall and transmission. The plug is on the transmission housing. https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=23_0917

at the minute 18:36. You find the location of the plug and wiring. I viewed this video to learn how to replace the clutch in which I assumed it failed on 7/3.
