hk rear speakers power handling
So I'm planning to upgrade the entire system in my r52 (both amps and speakers). I've been trying to evaluate what options I have for bass, and I know that a sub in the trunk won't work for me. I have been happy with the bass response of the hk system in these cars if nothing else. I find the rear speakers muddy but I feel like they could work well as dedicated subs with a low pass filter considering they do go down to 40 hertz or so. Impressive bass performance for something that's not a real subwoofer, I think. Because I'll be upgrading amps too, I was just wondering if anyone knew what the rated power on the rears for the hk system is. I have an r52 so my rears are 6.5s instead of the 6x9 I think a lot of you guys have but I think they would handle around the same power since the amplifiers are the same? I think? I'm guessing something like 40, 50 watts per channel for the rears? I can't imagine them being efficient considering how low they go and they don't feel too underpowered, so I would think the hk amp is feeding them decent power. Correct me if I'm wrong though.
