Drivetrain RMW Shorty Headers
RMW Shorty Headers
Got my RMW Shorty Headers today!!! Jan has taken a different approach to his design than the other 3 Headers I had access to.
#1. He ceramic coats his, inside and out. Should keep the under hood temps down, especially in an autocross situation,
#2 His primary's are the next standard size up from the Miltek and the unknown brand, I had access to.
#4 Port area was the largest, of the group, just slightly larger than the next smallest but noticeably larger than the Miltek and perfectly matched the supplied header gasket.
#5 Best collector design. From what I can see, it looks like a true merge collector.
#6 longest primaries!
Can't wait to get them on but my, go to, guy is tied up on two other cars now but should have them on in the next two weeks or the end of the month at the latest.
Currently have London Stainless on now, with a damaged cat.

Just a follow up. I'm an old F*** and don't know how to post pic's here or even how to get them on to my computer. I could send someone the limited number of pics I have and they could post them but there are other pics, of his headers, on this site, and Jan's RMW site.
Headers are on now with about 100 miles of road use and 2 autocross's. They sound a little different, not better or worse, than my old London Stainless/Miltek headers.
As a side note, At the autocross I blew the end cap and disc assembly off and the Fiberglass guts out, of my SuperTrapp! It happened in the middle of a long 65 mph slalom, where I was bouncing off red line in 2nd gear. Was this because the RMW Shorty Headers flowed better or the SuperTrapp was 14 years old with 130,000 miles on it, I don't know. The car hadn't really been driven hard in 12 years and had a bad CAT for the last 3-4 years. The brick had come loose and was rattling around, due to running over a large turtle, were parts of the old brick hung up in the disc's of the SupperTrapp, I don't know.
Also, with what amounted to a straight through exhaust, after the SuperTrapp incident, the car was much louder and annoying on the ride home but not as loud as I would have expected, at cruising speed and the sound quality wasn't bad.
