I'm in the currently in the market for a an exhaust. I want to hear ppls thoughts on what they think is the best exhuast.

What I'm looking for is a deep throaty exhaust, nice looking with black tips maybe.. budget is 1200..

My favorite is ragazzon however hard to get in the US at least from my experience...

Ooooo nice I haven't heard if this exhaust yet, but it does sound very sexy. I'll definitely be keeping that in in mind. It's not super expensive either.

 

I have a 2013 MCS with a CNT Catless dp and a quicksilver exhaust, here's a vid

 

I personally like the Akrapovic and run it on my GP2. But it is on the quieter side with no drone, and big reason I like it along with the perfect fit.

Now if you want louder they vary after that, but the best piece of advise I can give you is if you plan to go with a downpipe later you will want to error on the quieter exh as the downpipe for 100% certain will make any exhaust louder, so if you start with a real loud exh then add a downpipe later you may be sorry and have too much drone and upset neighbors.
The Quicksilver is a good middle of the road option I would recommend if wanting louder than the Akrapovic.

˄Agree˄ if you can stretch your budget to the Akrapovic exhaust system.

 

I invested in. 3” stainless and its loud enough. If you up the turbo spec, you might want to find a larger diameter pipe.

We just landed these from Scorpion UK and what will be going on my R58 JCW. Its the challenge exhaust since the original Genuine MINI one went nla we worked with the producer of that exhaust in the UK( and they produce the exhaust for all the race MINIs for the MINI challenge) to bring it back ( of course no MINI logo).

Excited to get this myself. Its the same thing so it will be loud like the original MINI challenge exhaust for the R56

Ended up getting a slightly used downpipe back alta exhaust locally.. always liked the would of Alta, but heard there was figment issues.. going to fit it this summer so I'll find out eventually..

 

Is it a 3" exhaust? If so you will need a 3" pipe.

 

As @ECSTuning suggested you i believe this might be the best sound for me BUT its super loud.
I dont know if you have trouble with the law..But with that exhaust YOU WILL (LOL)
The only reason i havent bought the challenge edition of scorpion and bought the other with ceramic pipes still(70mm) decat was the FREAKING sound....
You cant pass next to a police car and not stopping you. All the eyes are on you even with 2k rpms.
However. Sound is epic :D

 

The scorpion is louder but it does have a rea muffler part so its not a straight pipe loud. Video sound link below

Anyone have a video of a Scorpion resonated setup with their 2.75 (catless) downpipe on an R56 S?

Hoping for something that is easy on the ears for the highway, sounds good, and is larger than the 2.25 OE setup.

 

Resonated Daytona but with decat, so it would be not as loud
