SuspensionSprings, struts, coilovers, sway-bars, camber plates, and all other modifications to suspension components for Cooper (R50), Cabrio (R52), and Cooper S (R53) MINIs.
Last October I installed a set of VIN matched JCW springs and Koni yellows on my Non-S R56 (no pano). Measurements before and after show it raised the ride height an average of 1/4" at each corner. I'm assuming that I screwed something up as the springs advertise to lower the vehicle.
I reused all the old components like spring isolators, upper mounts, and the like. Did I miss something? Can anybody check my spring part numbers against my VIN to make sure I have the right springs? Thanks!

Only thing that I can think that could have gone wrong is maybe the spring ends are not properly in the rubber spring mounts and the top mounts have a offset where the end of the springs and rubber sping mounts sits up against. Check that first
I have 2012 base mini no sunroof only option is sport seats. I bought mine 3 years ago I don't know the part numbers but here is a picture of the paint codes and a picture of how the spring and upper mount should line up. I could measure how think the coils are if that might help. The cooper S is about 150 lbs heavier then a base and from what I was told most or all is on the front end so I would not think the rear would get affected much.

The difference in weight shouldn’t matter because the springs are VIN matched.
You might have better luck over in the second gen forums.
I had a thought, though I don’t think it would make up for the full amount of difference, and certainly not at the front. When I went to Swift springs on Koni Yellows at ~65k miles, the lower bushings on my stock rear struts were shot and deflected upwards a bit. They were bad enough that I was getting rub at full compression when I switched to 205/55R15 tires. How did those bushings look on your old struts?
There should be somebody kicking around the forums who can check the part numbers or at least give you a ride height measurement.
