Sudden loss of all boost. No cel. 2009 jcw n14
I was driving home the other night with some friends and having some fun and all the sudden in 3rd gear around 5k rpm it stuttered and I lost all boost. I pulled over and turned the car off and on and it had full boost. No check engine lights have came on. I am Manic stage 2. I have new coilpack and sparkplugs. Upgrades are Forge BOV, catless downpipe, colder plugs, intake, aftermarket intercooler, and an oil catch can. The car has 82000 miles and I've owned it for a year now. I noticed after this happens and I restart the car the pops and bangs have faded. My car pops a lot normally so that's the only reason I noticed. But the day after this happened after driving for about 40 minutes the pops came back out of nowhere. This has happened to me 2 times now. I am a little confused on what is going on. So if anyone can point me in a direction I'd appreciate it.

Mmm. Not saying that the issue and not knowing when it was last replaced, i think it is something you need to consider on the long run as a maintenance item vs repair.
Also, i suppose you're keeping an eye on the oil?

I change the oil every 3k miles and check oil levels every week. I'm not willing to give mini the money they want for the timing chain replacement. I may bite the bullet and replace it myself. Do you think maybe a hpfp issue? Under high boost its sucking the lines dry and causing a cut? It's never been replaced as well. Idk what to even consider until a cel comes on...

Sure you can do the timing chain by yourself, it not that difficult.
As for the hpft, most of guys i know with stage two tune still have their mini hpfp. I dont think there is a modified one for them.

Yeah itd probably be for the best to replace it. But if the hpfp is dying I'm saying it cant keep up the pressure when under load. So it's running lean. But at the same time it doesnt have a rough startup or make a lot of noise.
You have a point. I think the best approach now is reading the live data to see if the pressure indeed dips at high rpm.
Also consider the turbo itself since you lost boost. Unless that was an effect of something else.

So I am at work and used a co workers code reader. It pulled p115c fault code pending. I have no idea why mine didnt read that. Besides the point I'm going to smoke the car after work and hopefully that will lead me in the right direction.
Update. Pulled my heat shield off my turbo to see 1 stud on on my downpipe has backed out creating a small gap on the one side. Last time they all backed out and I blew my entire gasket out. So I dont know why they keep on backing out. But as of now it's fixed. I appreciate the help!!
