omg, that wait even though it wasn't that bad seemed like forever.. however.. today i got my Clyde!!! already have a solid 100 miles on him too and gotta say.. wow!! just wow!! even not giving it, you can feel that 300hp in all gears. the build quality on these new CTMs are amazing too!!! loving the little details like when i hold lock button and mirrors also retract in and then when i unlock they unfold too! yea, the little things.. here's some shots of him.
was a little sad getting rid of my Bonnie (2013 R58 S) but after getting in Clyde and driving off in sport mode... it got a lot easier.. planning to do the beltline blackout and all chrome will be gone!
just did my first mod; bimmercodeapp and first thing i did; deactivate ASD.. noticed a slight hum from speakers with it on. will reply back on difference with it off tomorrow also disabled auto stop by default and remember last driving mode used (will change to sport after the break-in). next up this weekend, dashcam and beltline blackout and of course some cruising.
so for anyone wondering about the burples and pops on teh 2020 JCW CTMs.. i just hit 172 miles on my Clyde and did a kind of aggressive acceleration in manual mode and started to hear some burples and pops right as i shifted and also one nice pop as i downshifted. i feel by 500 miles this guy is gonna be shooting burples and pops all over.
also.. the power on these new JCW CTMs is literally INSTANT, 40mph to 80mph comes really fast. in love!! still haven't gotten Video from USB to wrok though w/bimmercode app. emailed their support since we have such new MINIs and possibly new software to?
full blackout on my Clyde def took me an hour and half, man those curves are not fun or the hood beltline area (esp being short, glad i had my stool to stand on.. hehe)
well.. after being unable to find a proper ground point near the passenger fuse box, i have went the usb route sadly. also F50 and F57 would not power my camera; did not use an meter to check.
routing cable in headliner is super easy along w/the door sill rubber area too. just ran under footwell, mounted cables and have some cable holders to run along lower side of center to cigarette area. not bad for not being hardwired. may look into the ACE 2.0 system depending on reviews from fellow JCW owner.
also need a new rear license plate since its the LAST chrome on my Clyde. hehe.. totally forgot about it. omg.. exhaust is coming to life now too.
