this car is impossible to wash

Every time I wash it, mud runs out of the belt line trim after I drive away so I get home and the back end is positively filthy. Then, even after I wipe it all clean again it dries, and the next time I shut the liftgate, dust pops out of the edge. What are you guys doing to keep it clean, other than removing the trim when you wash?

You have a bunch of dirt under the trim. I would pop the trim off and clean the underside. I dont have all those drip areas on either of my MINIs. Do you run dusty back roads alot?

I wouldn't say a lot, but there is a half mile stretch I have to go down a couple times a month.

However, this has been going on since I bought it in March so maybe the previous owner did. Guess I'll start looking into how to remove that trim. Every time the question gets asked seems to be about blacking out chrome and it's just suggested to use the tape and not remove the trim.

Go to one of those self service car wash and wash your car then use the pressure wash and rinse it well.
I do this at my home and works like a charm forcing the dirt from under the moldings. concentrate on the
problem areas you'll see the dirt running from under the moldings.
