Replace shocks & struts

I bought KONI special active units for F & R of my 2014 F56 Base model 2-door; new struts DO NOT have springs. Do I need ANY other single-use parts to install my new shocks/struts, especially to mount the original springs over the new struts??? Many Thanks

Depending on how many miles are on the car and where you live it is nice to have access to spare front end-links. I have worked on plenty of Minnesota cars that have seen 4-5 winters by the time it comes to replace the struts and those bolts tend to round off. I always blast them with penetration fluid and sometimes heat them up before trying to break them loose.

Thanks for your response. Can you be more specific about which "front end-links" you mean???

The instructions on Newtis say to replace pretty much every bolt, I think. Which I never do, but you might consider it, if your car has seen snow in the past. You'd probably spend $20-40 on bolts, which is going to seem like a lot, but cheap compared to your time. Get them from any dealer that sells online.

Check install instructions here, and you'll get a better picture of what's needed:

Absolutely the ones that go from the struts to the front seat bar. You have one on each side.

When I upgraded my suspension, I purchased #2, #8 and #9 in this picture:

The paper gasket I figured would be torn when I removed the OE suspension and the bellows had a tear in it. The bump stop just looked ugly so I went and replaced that too. Did that on all four corners.

Great idea to replace the Micro Cellular Jounce Bumpers (Bumps stops) especially if keeping OEM springs.
