My 2007 MCS build.

I recently bought a 2007 MCS in awesome shape from a kid for dirt cheap. For a reason. He said the motor was blown. After a top end teardown I found he had put several aluma seal containers in to stop up a cracked water pipe and it clogged the pump. Which warped the head. So I sent the head off and had it rebuilt and ordered every part outside the short block. Waiting on parts in the mail. Cant wait to get started. A lot of the parts are upgrades of course. Intercooler, muffler, turbo pipe, etc. Getting more excited by the day. Any suggestions on a piggyback or ecu tune? I'm wanting something I can dial down easily if I want to.

It's a ton of fun. With all the parts I ordered it's been like Christmas every day for the last couple of weeks. Cant wait to get out motoring with the Colorado forum members.

Getting there

Some gratuitous build pics. Got it running last night. Just a few things left to peice together. Then time to enjoy. Best thing is it only cost $1500 for the car and just about as much for the parts. Assembly took me 16 hrs so far but who cares I'm just stoked I got it going

Nice!
And Welcome to NAM...

You asked about tunes... MANIC ECU tune. Way Motors does them, as does Mario Kart (screen name). They seem to be the most reliable. I think they can be had with a switch that gives you the stock tune and several variations of a Stage 1, 2 or 3 tunes. For your car you probably want a Stage 1 tune. These do require you to send your ECU to the tuner. A friend used Way Motors and has had really good success with it.

Have fun with your new toy and keep us posted with your adventures....

Nice come back with the car, what did you use to get the rest of the sealant out of the motor?
What name is that intercooler?
