Hello all,

I recently replaced my rear shock/struts and honestly I think I have more "board" noise than I had with the OEM's... I ensured that everything is tight, and torqued to specs, but I still get it on both sides, more on the passenger though. The shocks/struts are standard replacements (nothing performance), but I thought for sure they would be better than the OEM's!

I'm running the Bridgestone RFT Driveguards and know RFT's don't have the smoothest or quietest ride, but the board noise is another thing.....

Any thoughts, suggestions?

Check your sway bar links. I'm in the process of changing mine and i think that's where I'm getting my noise from. Rockauto.com hurry up!

You should also check your rear sway bar bushings and brackets.

Just had my sway bar links and bushings replaced to successfully remove a clunk

 

+1 check the sway bar bushings and end links, also make sure nothing is loose back there and retorque the bolts, the rear suspension bolts can get loose easy if not torqued to spec.

 

Another vote for sway bar links. Easy and fixes annoying noises. Amazing how loose the ball joints were in mine whenI took them out.
