High-altitude drivers: What boost are you seeing?

Just trying to get a feel for what boost I should be seeing. I'm around 5000 ft, 15% pulley and DT BPV. I see just shy of 12 psi in 2nd gear WOT, under load and near redline.

I was getting the yoyo and when I installed the BPV I noticed cracks in the intercooler boots. I replaced those with silicon (never again) and maybe gained 1 psi. I checked the vac line visually under the IC and it looked fine.

At 5000ft you should be seeing about 2.5psi LESS than what someone would see at sea level. So if you are getting 12psi, that comes out to around 14.5psi at sealevel. On a 15% pulley, that sounds just about right.

I'd say you are good to go

Thanks! That is what I was thinking, just wanted to confirm. I've since read that "standard" air pressure is 2.7 psi less at 5000 ft compared to sea level, and the difference in supercharger boost should be about the same.

This has me thinking about ways to improve:

1. Would a CAI be worth it for me? Mainly for adding flow? Would that do anything at all for boost? I'm wondering if it would make a bigger difference at altitude than it might at sea level.
2. I'll be replacing my damper soon and I'm thinking of going with 2% overdrive. So it would be similar to running a 17% pulley. Is this okay to run with no tune? Will I start seeing issues with IAT, or is that not an issue at altitude?
