Factory Painted Aerokits?

I heard this rumor, Is it true you can order the kits painted and ready to install?
If so, how much are they?

I know classic mini sells the entire pre painted aero kit in the 1300 range. I think they're one of the only dealers with access to the pre painted kits

The kits come from the factory unpainted. Now whether certain dealerships paint them and make it available for sale or not is entirely up to them.

Jeru, I got mine pre-painted from Classic. $1350 plus shipping. Great deal!

Pre-Painted Factory Aero Kits

MINI does import factory pre-painted Aero Kits in a limited selection of colors, including Chili Red, British Racing Green, Pure Silver, and at least one other color.

Call or email Brian at Classic MINI Parts Dept for the complete list of colors available for the pre-painted front, rear, and side pieces.

Really Charlie? That's interesting, I wonder why you can't factory order the aerokit then? It's solely a dealer-installed option to my knowledge.

That is correct. The aero kit can come directly from the factory pre-painted. This is a little known fact, that for some reason many dealerships don't know about. The kit is considerably cheaper to buy this way, only costing about $1300 painted. The caveat is that it only comes in a few colors from the factory and the factory changes them some each year. You should call Classic to find out which colors are offered this year. The other thing that is weird is that the factory only paints certain colors for both the MCS and the MC, but sometimes they don't match. For example, I believe that the Silver is offered in the MC and not the MCS. Not sure why the factory doesn't paint both types of aerokits the same colors. I believe last year for the MCS it was Indi Blue, British Racing Green, Dark Silver and Red. I do not know what it was for the MC, except I do know that one of them was the Lighter Silver. Not sure what they will do with the Indi Blue and if they are painting the Hyperblue in it's place.

Do I need to use the black grill with the aero kit or can I still use the chrome? Anyone have a aerokit with chrome?

Aero Kit with Chrome Grill, the top will fit just fine. The bumper grill will have to have a small foundation built inside the insert area for the grille.

Now that i like! I always thought a glossy black would look really good around the trim of the aero kit. But i dont have even the 1350 to spend .

Wanted fender trim painted.

So when I ordered mine, the dearler installed and painted it before I picked up the car. Thought the painted black instead of the plastic matte black they originally come with looked better with the aero kit.

Anybody know if I can buy just (only) factory painted aero side sills or should I just call Classic, order the aero sills, and then have them painted?
