Disabling Fuel Pump? Flooded engine (fuel flood)

Hi everyone, long time lurker first time poster.

story time: My low km 2012 R60 S All4 was in top shape this summer. Unfortunately I curbed it and broke the right front control arm, tie rod, and cv...so when I loaded it onto the flat bed, I started the car a lot and didn't let it warm up. I wasn't thinking straight. It was cold out and I must have turned it on and off about 20 times because it was hard to load up.

A few days later the car wouldn't start. I tried starting it too much and over a few days and each time the smell of fuel got worse.

So I started researching. My research has led me to conclude that this is a perfect scenario for getting a flooded engine. I found this great video ,

but what I need help with is disabling the fuel pump. Do I need to pull both a fuse and a relay to stop the pumping of gas while I was my cylinder walls with oil?

thanks for the help!
