Hi this is my first post. Trying to fix my daughters base 2005 convertible and have searched to find the location of the position sensor to replace it. I have found a diagram of the transmission for the S that shows it on top of the transmission. I believe the correct part number is 24157551089 I am attaching a photo of the part. Is this the correct sensor? It is an automatic, is this located under the shifting mechanism in the cab or located elsewhere. Again I did search the forum and read through the post and apologize if I somehow missed this info. Below is the info on the code as well. Code will come and go on it's own so I am trying to get this replaced before I have a major issue. Car does not seem to have much pickup in automatic mode but when I switch to manual mode it seems to be fine. Appreciate any info.


It looks like part 24157551089 is for an S model and not applicable for the base model. I am wondering if the transmission control module is the issue, probably need to have it looked at by someone to diagnose the cause of the issues we are having.
