Custom radio install?

Hi all... new CMS owner w/ HK system here... I'm looking to add an audio upgrade to my Countryman and need ADVICE.

I'm hard of hearing so I'm big on bass/concert sound. Has anyone replaced the subwoofers under the seats successfully? How?

I originally wanted an aftermarket JVC head unit with backup camera... but my local car audio is like new with Mini. (I'm not handy with tools at ALL... so I rely on kindness of others) and that didnt seem like an easy route. Is it possible to install a single DIN unit? Can the Mini Boost cd drive be separated from the factory radio unit?

So... my new easier? plan... Boyo Rear View mirror with LCD screen for backup camera. Anyone else done this?

And I also bought Rockford Fosgate shallow mount 8" speakers and a Power Acoustik mono amp to replace the HK woofers under the seats and connect to the factory radio. Will the RF woofers fit? Anything I should know?

I also have my longtime Sirius external radio unit that I want hardwired to the AUX port of the factory radio. Anyone?

Any help/tips/experience/advice would be great!!

How do you wire woofers to a sub?

I'm just trying to read up/educate myself...

But, can someone explain how you can wire 2 Earthquake SWS 8s to a 1500w mono amp? How does that work? Adapters or straight wiring into the inputs?

(I ordered 2 Earthquakes and a Power Acoustik 1500W monoblock amp AND an AudioControl LC2Qi module. RCA inputs are not needed anymore?)

Quick search

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...uake-sws8.html

that was from a quick search. I’m sure you can find more on custom radio installs if you dig deeper. From what I’ve seen, most people don’t even bother. Mini makes it pretty difficult to swap out for aftermarket head units.
