I want to get a exhaust with more aggressive sound at full throttle, but no drone when on the highway. Not sure about the performance gain but that aspect would be a plus. Don't like the large tips, so close to the JCW tips. I did lots of research on forums and seems that the JCW and the NM engineering are the one's I'm leaning towards.

My questions, on the NM engineering, they have two options, one just behind the cat and one behind the down pipe. Will this cause a CEL if I go with the down pipe option? Because there isn't a O2 sensor in the second cat. Also want to be responsible and not contribute to our environmental crisis.

Also I can't find any information on the stainless thickness. Not concerned about weight, but thicker walls is a sign of quality.

Other options?

The second cat is not monitored, so there will be no CEL if the 2nd cat is removed with an aftermarket exhaust. The early 2nd gen JCW's had a large resonator and no second cat from the factory. So there is a difference between the factory JCW exhaust (no engraving on the tips) and the JCW tuning kit (just a muffler).

I'm running a factory JCW exhaust and am pretty happy with it, no drone and just slightly louder than stock. No noticeable gain in the Butt Dyno.

Have fun,
Mike

I personally like the Akrapovic the best as it fits perfect and doesn't drone, but had a good sound when you lean into it. I run it on my GP

But if you want something less budget wise I'd look at the Afe as it is just a rear muffer section

The Quicksilver is another Exh we have had good luck with and has good value. Which is a full exh connecting to the stock DP.

We do offer the NM too if you end up wanting that
