Convertible side windows 2006

hi guys I’m tackling my next task which is why the convertible it does not work, since the side windows needs to go down before the rest continues to open, I’m troubleshooting that first then all the relays and sensor, I just took the left panel apart and as you can see we can’t even get to that window, I don’t see a mechanism that brings it down, this is all metal as you can see. I don’t see an actuator or motor to make the windows up or down, what am missing here?
when depressed the panel to open up it opens up the sunroof but I don’t see the led blinking like I’ve been reading it doesn’t lid at all. I remove the speaker to see if I could see it but nada!

The ECS guy knows allot about verts has he has one. As there are wires going down into the window glass area is the motor down in there? Would think that www.realoem.com may have some drawings on what the thing looks like.

Let me see, I ordered a relay tester!
it seems that I need to manually open it the convertible in order to look or access that side window, What I’m looking for is to check for power getting there, so I could trace it from the main switch by the mirrow.
thanks guys

Just saw this. rkw posted up what you need. That window sets in the pocket and here is what the unit looks like:

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ob-to-fix.html

You will need to test the wires going to the window. The windows go down after you slide the sunroof all the way back. Otherwise, you can put them down with the button beforehand up by the convertible top button.

Yes Sir, thank you, I m looking the Bentley manual it seems that from S40 switch rear power window goes to general control unit, I heard something clicking on that unit after pressing the switch.
Now I need to trace it to a wire that would connect to the relay then the relay would send a signal no M98-M99 window regulator rear both sides.
Can the convertible be manually opened or as the manual says Is not a big NO NO!?

i already check the 40 amps fuse by the engine that powers the convertible I believe is L3 fuse 40 amps.

so my next task is followed the pins 12 and 16 from general module control to the power windows, but since idk the wires I would need to access the rear window motor to find the wires harness that connect them.

Okay the reason I’m ASSuming that the rear vehicle windows are not going down because someone disconnected them.
Where that plug goes in?
Im thinking to supply some 12v to see what it happens!
It should go down or up but if it’s up already what it could happen?
I don’t want to break the windows by connecting them direct.
When I pressed the switches that control the rear window I get voltage supplied.
The color code on this windows wires are solid blue with violet 2 wires and black yel

That's the plug for the window motor. You have to remove the regulator/motor assembly, which includes the window, in order to plug it in. It's not a hugely complicated process, you've already got some of the work done with the removal of the rear trim. I can't get the link to work at the moment, but THIS LINK gives instructions on the regulator removal. It leaves out one critical piece of info, though, you need to also remove the beltline weatherstripping trim in order to gain enough clearance to get the regulator out. If it's just the plug that's undone, you should only have to remove it partially, as the motor is toward the top of the regulator assembly.
