R50/53 Wow...I'm starting to think I really got a good deal.
Wow...I'm starting to think I really got a good deal.
I recently closed a deal for a Mini that I'm picking up on Monday the 15th. The car is a 2003 Mini Cooper S in Electric Blue with a Black Top & Mirrors. It's equipped with Moonroof, Premium, Sport & Cold Weather Packages, Harman Kardon Stereo...pretty much loaded except for Nav & Leather.
There are only 15K miles on the clock, and I'm getting the car for $20K.
When I look around at other Minis for sale, it appears that I'm getting the car for about $1,000 to $1,900 less than what comparably equipped cars are going for. Am I off base or does this seem like a good deal to anyone else? I'm relatively new to the Mini crowd, and I'm looking for some feedback from all of you veterans. Is this a pretty fair price?

Cut away to a radid-fire montage of Justin's future car begin thrashed around various race tracks and auto-x courses, dragging riced-out Acura's off stoplights and, finally, scraping its underbody loudly as it leaves the Home Depot parking lot loaded down with 1200 lbs of asphalt shingles.
Yeah... sounds like a pretty good deal.

If it wasn't for the asphalt shingles, I'd say you got a great deal. I got mine used too, from an old man...a 2003 MCS, had 7500 miles on it, and the avg speed in the trip computer was 6.5 MPH. Besides having to clean all the VapoRub and Ben Gay off the seats and steering wheel, it was perfect. That reminds me, don't forget to wash the Ben Gay off your hands before using the urinal.

I have visions of the the infamous "Jetta picture."
Actually, the car is owned by a middle-aged lady who injured her leg and can no longer drive a stick. The car is mint.
Yeah it was her sons car...
Sounds like a killer deal...Check that undercarridge though!
Thanks, XAlfa I needed a good laugh. I actually laughed my *** off because I sold a car like this once... Actually my Mom sold it. It was in her name.

Sounds good to me....I just picked up a 2002 MCS with 4197 miles on it. Grey w/ black roof, weather package, leather & R93 rims with Dunlop runflats (They say the rims & tires are $1500 for the 4). Paid $22,500 cuz of the low mileage. Added 6 year warranty to bring it to $24K. Regardless, every ride reminds me I did the right thing.
BTW.....I replaced the R93's with R83's and the ride is less like lead wheels.
