Just purchased these off ebay, since I was looking to keep my stock exhaust....but dress/cover up the stock tips. Didn't see a way to remove the stock tip, so my next best thing was to find a tip that can slip on over it. Based on the dimensions of this F30 BMW tip, it looks like it will work. I'll report back with pics once I receive & install them!
when I purchased yesterday the quantity was x1, so I emailed him and he did something on ebay and made more available. So I purchased twice since shipping was free. Both were mailed out today!
Not the availability....it says that they are sold in quantities of one. My point was $90 seemed steep, but I guess if they are quality it could be ok.

ah got it. I wanted knock off akrapovic ones like you posted, but the lengths on the ones I wanted were like 6" long. our R60 has that weird 90degree bend so it would stick out way past the rear bumper.
I spent way too much googling time trying to find one like this that easily just slipped on w/o cutting. Hope it works!
ugh so the tips came in (they look beautiful), but my measurements were off. They didn't slip right on like I had hoped.
Does anyone know for certain if these OEM exhaust tips are welded on there? I looked up the part # on realoem, and it shows me a replacement section of the tip including the 90degree pipe, but I just want to know if I can bang these tips off. I know some other BMW tips can be removed with a little force with an oil filter wrench......I wonder if the same can be done with the R60 ones. If I can get them off, I can slap these carbon fiber ones on.
Funny enough they slide right onto my E46 M3 tips....
double ugh.... they are the same diameter as the existing tip, so it will never work. Even if I were to saw off the oem tip, and clamp this down, the tips would sit too far in since the length of the carbon fiber ones are only about 3 inches (shorter than OEM).
I was really hoping the tips were like the ones on this F30 BMW where we could man-handle them off.

Most muffler shops near me will charge $60-$70 to cut off the oem tips and add on some extensions, to accommodate the new tips, and weld on the new tips
