Tire size question for lifted R60

I have looked a bit, not really getting an answer. So I just picked up an R60, so now I have TWO Minis! The R60 is an S and is ALL4, I want to lift it and I see on M7s website that the tallest tire recommended is 28.5''. Well I am trying to be as inexpensive as possible with this so I want to keep the 18s and there is literally ONE tire in the 26-28.5 range and its a Yokohama Geolander. Not really the look I was after. Now I can find BFG A/Ts in 255/55 which equates to a 29x10. Will this be way too big for the R60? I assume it would be but also maybe I can also get some suggestions for 18'' tire A/Ts besides the Yokohamas. The only other option at this point if this doesn't work will be to go 16s and it will take time to save that money.

Thanks for any and all help.
