Giving away lifted R60 Countryman Wheels/Tires

Hello North American Motoring,

I just recently upgraded my wheel & tire setup on my lifted R60 and I am looking to give away my old wheels. The old set are Steel Rims (ProComp 5x120mm 16x8's) and 225/70r16 tires (29" Treadwright Puma Retread's) and I have a total of 5. These will only work with the 2" lift kit and a little modification.

The old wheels are in good shape, balanced and running straight. There are only small scratches to the wheels, and the tires are at about 20% or less. 1 tire is at 100% and the wheel is perfect, it was my spare and was never taken on the road, only left in the trunk in case of a flat.

I live near Richmond, VA and these are currently in storage. If you are interested, I can meet you nearby and we can work out arrangements so you can have the set.

I have loved these tires for the last year, but I really wanted to upgrade to an aluminum setup for the lighter weight and the better visuals.

Let me know if you're interested, here is a pic of the tires from when I went offroading in the snow last winter.

Thanks,

Will the wheels fit with less sidewall or is the width and offset going to cause problems with even a stock diameter tire?

Honestly, i use a 1" spacer on the wheels with longer lug nuts to fit. I have pulled out the wheel well shroud, and I had to do some modifications to the inner wheel well metal to flatten it out as the tires were rubbing prior.

If you're just looking to keep a 26" tire and have the rims, I can't verify if this is possible, but it's a maybe. I would say you will still have to do some kind of modification necessary to fit this.

I just ran the numbers, assuming your ProComps are 4.75 inch backspacing... the offset would be 6 mm.

Stock backspacing with the 17x7's is 6 inches.

That means 2.75 inches more wheel hanging out of the fender. Not sure that would quite make it!
