Anyone who had the problem diagnosed as cylinder #3 piston, #3 rings or #3 otherwise.

Are all these failures on stock non modified Mini engines?

 

For number 1....yes. Ring landings are a weak spot as I have read.

 

Number 2 is stock as well

 

and how many of these are 'S' vs 'JCW' ..?
