FS - BMP/ProMINI Cooper Intake

I removed it from my mini after almost 5 months and 5700 miles of use. I just don't think it added anything to my overall mini experience and actually prefer the sound of the stock airbox over the intake.

Any offers? I'm not sure how much this is worth. If I don't get a good offer, I will list it on Ebay on Thursday.

The intake is perfect condition and includes all parts, instructions and stickers (unused).

I am looking to sell this intake for around $130. Any takers? Since many of you don't know me, look up mdsbrain on Ebay. There you can see my feedback from sales on Ebay.

A little help

Mdsbrain. Even though you didn't exactly hype this product very much.....at all.... let me help you. I bought the same type of intake for my MC and absolutely loved the way it made the car sound. Don't know if it added any horsepower but it seemed faster because of the auditory input. Not obnoxious or overbearing on the highway but a nice roar when you put your foot in it! Plus it's easy to install and looks great under the bonnet. Hope this helps anyone thinking about it. It's a great add on.

it's odd that you did not get any improvements with this intake. I have it as well and love the growl and smoother takeoffs ...

good luck with selling it.

As far as I'm concerned, intakes just make the MC sounds cooler--more throaty. Add an ECU mod like the MTH CarTune, and you'll have power that matches the sound.

I also have a MOSS MINI Intake, but I would be interested if the BMP intake is CARB approved. Do you know??

Thanks

Richard

sounds awesome

I agree with them. I have one for sale now on newyorkmini.org for 50 bucks . The only reason for the sale is that i wanted more chrome under my hood.So i purchased a K&N Thats the only reason i'm selling it. I thought that it sounded awesome when i punched it.Had it on my car for 4000 miles.

I don't know if it is.
More info can be found at the company I originally purchased the intake from, Rspeed.

But why should such a thing go for so little? I mean seriously, if I knew people paid so low for a used one I'd just slap it back on.

I think I paid $125 for a used one bought here from a NAM member. Good investment.

Well shoot if the going rate for a used one is about half what a new one is then i'll just pop it back on.

Unfortunately, if you bought aftermarket parts to break even on or make money it's not gonna happen. What were you going to put on a different intake or the stock unit?

Planning to put the stock back on cause the one only thing I like about it is the noise.
