If you mean:
How long does it take for the clutch to fail? Depends how it's been driven. Many stories on this site about early clutch failure. Do a little searching. I'm a second owner. My clutch failed at @14K miles (4 days after I bought it).

If you mean:
How long does is take to replace the clutch? I think there's a video on here somewhere of someone (who knows what they're doing) doing it in 10 hrs. It's very involved: Removing the front sub-frame, supporting the engine, removing engine mounts, removing the transmission. Not something I would want to do myself.

At first, I was trying to troubleshoot. Now that I know it's the clutch, I need to find one.

Search around NAM for clutch issues and you can read a lot about who replaced their OEM clutch with what replacement and why. After gaining some knowledge, the members and vendors on here are very knowledgeable about such things and will not steer you wrong, though you may have to sift through a lot of opinions. But that's part of what makes this site great. Way Motor Works, ECS Tuning, and others are always helpful answering questions about such things.

Lucy’s failed at 43,000.

Just turned 63,000 this week so hopefully I can get another 26,000 out of this one.

Those that have been here awhile recognize that the "search" function here is not the best. Chances are that if you do a Google search the results will send you back here as IMO if it has been said about a MINI it is most likely here somewhere.

Thinking there is a thread here about a spring in the clutch being one of the issues.
