Glad someone figured it out. I've been whining about this for a year.

Works like a charm. Took 5 minutes tops. (Needs E-SYS, the ODB-ENet cable and associated data file.)

Note: I have factory rear fogs which makes it very straightforward.

Normally, use of the rear fogs is because of low visibility situations. If the fogs are now coded to be used as rear brake lights, will they no longer work for their intended purpose?

Just checked. The rear fogs work exactly as before. If they are on, nothing happens to them when you brake- only the original brake lights will light.

It's been done using Bimmercode as well!!

See post #6 on:
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...rcode-app.html

I'm hoping, but not optimistic, that Carly will add this as well.

I went the other direction and coded my “running” lights to work as brake lights instead of the rear fogs.
Keep in mind it only works if you don’t have the headlights on. However, I’m still looking to see what deeper ECU values I can dig into (I’m pretty fluent in German and hexadecimal)

Ok, so I coded my fogs to act as brake lights, all is good.
I recently sourced a euro switch that also has the rear fog lights, but can't seem to figure out how to let the car know it's there.

From another post I see:

Activate Rear Fog Lights:
3068 NSL_Verbaut = Verbaut

Code first, then cycle ignition, then restart Bimmercode for the below options
to show up

Activate Rear Fog Lights feature for lighting switch:
3064 Mapping_Nebelschlussl_L_output = nsl_l
3064 Mapping_Nebelschlussl_L_Function = nebelschlusslicht
3064 Mapping_Nebelschlussl_R_output = nsl_r
3064 Mapping_Nebelschlussl_R_Function = Nebelschlusslicht

But when I go into expert, I only see 3067 (LceTmsCoding2) and 3070 (LciMaster) edit: that was in demo mode, doh!
Anyone know how to get this done?

Edit:
Found 3068 in (expert) BDC/LceMaster/NSL_VERBAUT
Found 3064 in (expert) BDC/LceLampMapping3/
And VOILA! Rear fogs!

After NSL_VERBAUT the rear fog indicator worked, but the lights did not until the 3064 nsl_l, nsl_r was activated on the second round.
