The rear fog lights as brake lights

Greetings.
In my 2002 MINI Cooper, I cross wired the rear fogs (Which weren't connected to anything, and had no bulbs) so the lit up as additional brake lights. I know that on later model BMWs, you can have Bremel_MIT_NSL, which is brake lights with rear fog lights. (works expecially well when you dont already have a rear fog light switch anyway) Has anyone seen this sort of code in the FRM module on a MINI?

I assume your rear fogs are non-functional now. Wouldn't it be easier just to wire them up to your existing brake lights? You'd just need to pull one of your taillights to access the wire bundle and then splice into the brake lights and the ground. I did the same thing with mine except I made the fog light an extra taillight (justa).
