Got this "drivetrain check soon" message today, a couple days after I installed Dinan sport for my F56. Should I take it to the dealer or it's something related to Dinan? And what does it mean?
I'd disconnect and drive for a few days and see what happens. If you have an OBD reader check for codes. Some dealers are cool with Dinan, others might not be. Try to find that out. You can also contact Dinan and see what they say, having codes would be of help.
Hooked up OBD2 reader and there is no code. I guess it's because it's not a CEL but a MINI specific message. Contacted Dinan and waiting for their reply.

I got a weird sense of arrogance when I called Dinan.
The person kept telling me I had bent a pin, or I plugged it into the wrong connector.
Might sell the Dinan when I get it back, and buy an NM, Liked the way Jerry responds to my inquiries.

If Dinan don't back their product, that would be too bad. I haven't got a chance to drive it for the last couple of days (needless to say taking off the module). Wanna go to the dealer anyway for the brake flush anyway (side story: dumb me missed the 3-yr complimentary maintenance last day by 2 months and have to pay it out of my pocket ) and see what they say.

doesn't sound like the Dinan I know. I believe they have a satisfaction guarantee on their stuff. At the very least im sure they will send you a replacement unit.

Oh, they are, but, refused to discuss the possibility that dealer recode is no longer compatible with the Dinan.

Anyone want a NEW Dinan at a good price??
well if there is /was a dealer recode then that could be a possibility if the software changed vs what they are doing?. Im sure they will make it right if at all possible
Well so far I haven't been able to get in touch with Dinan. Submitted a message on their website, left a voice mail, and called again this morning (went to voice mail again). Anyone can PM me their email?
Dealer found fault code 20A503 and they said looks like TSB SI M12 04 14 applies. Do you guys know what device I can use to get the fault code of MINI? I used OBD reader but no code was found. Also, is there any place I can see this TSB? I don't mind paypal you to get it.
