swaybar size

Hi folks,
does anyone know, or can tell me where I can find the standard diameters of the sway bars on standard Cooper d 115 bhp.

only I was expecting the rear to be about 17mm, but when I fitted wheel spacers the other day, I measured mine, and the front was about 25mm and the rear was 20-21mm. Both hollow of course.

the car is a very standard low spec model.

Can't answer your question, but on my 17 MCS convertible the rear sway bar measures 21mm, Couldn't tell if it tube or solid.

21mm hollow sounds right because I see most people who get thicker rear bars get 25mm around here. On my car, the Gen 2 Minis had solid bars so we'd get 19mm a lot, sometimes 21mm.

Definitely hollow ... I have it sitting on my garage floor and it's really light. I replaced it with the NM 25mm bar (hollow) and what a difference! That said, it is way more responsive ... steering is noticeably more sensitive. It's good, but it could bite.

The F56 definitely needs a thicker rear sway bar. My friend bought one and her car leans like a sack of cement in turns, understeers up the yazoo. It actually handles pretty good but the steering isn't nearly as tight as my car's.

Thanks. Wish I could get the NM one in the UK. Eibachs are on back order until December. Hardrace one is only 22 mm and hollow. H and R only sell a front and rear kit in Europe. Not the rear on its own. Guess I will have to wait for the Eibachs.

ECS Tuning does ship to t Europe.
Have you contacted them?

You might as well buy the H&R set. £346 at Tunershop UK

It would cost you less than just the NM rear (add money conversion, shipping, customs, and VAT)
