Does anyone have any ideas on a good brand of XM radio. I was told by the mini dealer that the 2003 are pre wired for that and I don't want to lose my streeing wheel functions. [LIST]

Pioneer and Alpine are both good....I would check out either one of them!
(One of my friends has an Alpine and he loves it, another of my friends has a Pioneer and he loves it....so I would recommend both.)

Hi Chris, thanks for writing in.

Yes, the MINI audio system is satellite ready for the 2003
model year. This means that a satellite radio receiver can be installed on all 2003 MINIs. However, the actual satellite radio kit will not be available until later in the model year. The satellite radio service will be provided by Sirius. Keep in touch with your dealer for the latest updates.

 

I have a CD player. What is this thing called 'radio?'

 

Can't wait to get the built-in hands free cell phone kit. I know the MINIs pre-wired for it, but the hardward isn't available yet and they don't know when it will be. Anybody have any more definite news?
