Sounds like fun! Can you please keep us updated on your progress and decisions you make going forward?

What are total mods you've done on your car so far if I may ask?

Currently what I have done to the car
is
Ddm works race intake
Ddm works race 3" exhaust
Frankenturbo k04
Shrick 248 cam
CP-Carrillo Forged Piston Set 11.5.1
Cp pro-h rods
Arp hard ware
Os giken clutch
Quaife Differential
Forge blow off valve
Bhs catch can
Forge front mount
Forge ic piping
manic tune
really the reason for switching up turbos
Is
just knowledge and so I could be able to say one's better than the other
an as for the jcw intake
I believe that's only a 40 or 42mm
Where the GTD47 is a 47mm
so I don't think it will
work I'll check into it tho
building One will not be to hard
just like picking other people brains on it

Your post above states that you're using 11.5:1 pistons, is that also your compression ratio? Seems kind of high.

yeh your right it is high!
Stock compresses
is 10.5:1
most people are running a higher
boost leave
on the lower comp
some are like 20/22 psi some
are
28/30 psi
whare am running a higher comp with
lower boost
13 to 15 psi
I was haveing some detonation problems
in the higher boost
on 93 octane
so I switch to a e30 mix an that fix the problem
but e85 is getting hard to get in my area
so that's why I got a meth kit

depends on your budget
and what
you want to do !
I would start out
with a
front mount intake
exhaust
stuff like that

it was great
nothing
blow up or broke
spent the summer playing with the meth
running it on MAP right now
it starts to
inject about 10 psi
the only problem i was having
the turbo was back
spooling
i was running the
forge upgrade DV valve
so i upgrade to the
forge blow off valve an it fix the problem
running a different bay set up
new intake
cleaned it up a lot
from the last photo i posted
i delete the wash tank
an a few other random things

Low compression
with high boost is an old method
but proven
method on running a turbo set up
Now if you was to adventure
into some of the other realms
like
DSM
honda
or any jdm
high compression and low boost is a very popular thing nowadays ‘
specially in Honda
j spec
& dsm
there a Company out of Omaha
what did a evo x built on a
4b11t
14 something compression with e85
with low boost 750 plus hp
The major problem with minis is
everyone stuck in a bubble when I comes to performance
with them

yea i got ya, E85 would be a godsend even with stock compression for the R56 if the fuel system were up to it...if/when mine blows i wouldnt want to go any lower in compression than stock for a forged build

Do you know what the diameter of the throttle body plate is?

And the overall diameter of the throttle body inlet?

Check out the 50mm here: 50mm turbo
