05MCS Owners: at 3,000 RPM's are you getting a slight stumble?

I have had my 05 MCS for 1 month--over 1,500 miles and feel a hesitation/stumble when getting to 3k. I often notice it more when cruising at say 40 mph in 4th gear and accelerate. Putting a new exhaust and CAI has not changed the "stumble". I would appreciate your input. Thanks. Nick

I got my 05 MCS on Thursday, and there was a second I thought I felt something yesterday - either first or second gear around 3k rpm, don't really remember - where it almost felt like the power cut out for a moment or something, for just a brief second, but I haven't felt it since. I'll update this thread if I feel anything more. Only 150 miles now, so still in break-in.

The same old problem has been passed onto the 2005's.

MINIUSA: What are you waiting for to solve these software issues? Another 2 years?

No, no, no. This is not the "stumble". This is a well documented issue in the Mini's history, it is called the "Yo-Yo".

The stumble is another frequent issue but it is entirely distinct from the yo-yo (which is a result of butterfly valve indecision when accelerating at anything less than full throttle) that you are experiencing.

Re: DoubleNick

I'm with MINI USA. I've passed this message on to a MINI National Customer Relations Representative who will be in touch with you soon.

05MCS with 100 miles....Yep, momentatry hicup/dip . Part throttle at just under 3000RPMs. Perhaps better when warm... more research needed...
