Manic Tune and Sprint Booster

Hey everyone,

Been thinking about getting a sprint booster for a bit now but plan on doing a manic stage 2 tune by the end of the summer. My question is, those that have the tune, is it possible to tune the throttle response? In essence, if I get a tune, will I no longer need the sprint booster? Don't want to buy parts and sell them in a couple months. Thanks!

it would remap the throttle to a linear response so you might be able to do without the sprint booster and get a intercooler instead

you shouldn't need both, the tune should change the throttle position

Sprint Booster Version 3

The Manic Tune is an ECU software upgrade which increases HP and improves throttle response but to a limited degree.

I have not seen any ECU tune improve the throttle response like the Sprint Booster. Those who have never tried the SB might believe it is redundant, but in actuality, the SB is much more effective in the throttle response area. They are 'complementary' products.

The Manic Tune big feature is the increase in HP.

Hope this helps!

The stock throttle map (versus pedal input) is not linear, which makes the car twitchy since it simulates you pressing the pedal more than you actually are. While this may be "fun" and give the impression of responsiveness, it can make the car hard to drive smoothly at mid pedal throttle position (on/off feeling). The manic tune smooths out the throttle map so it is easier to modulate. If you dont like the linear map, the sprint booster can give you back some of the exaggerated throttle response, depending how you set it. It can even go the other way (eco) I believe if you want to save gas. Try the tune by itself first then decide if you want to adjust response with sprint.

The tune will improve the throttle response. So I do recommend doing the turn first and then seeing if you want more response. If at that point you do you can add the sprint booster.
When you're ready let us know as we turn the tune around in 24hrs

We've had customers that go either way. Many get the tune then resale the Sprint Booster, and had some that use it with the tune and love to play with it. So it will be up to your butt dyno

Manic can probably write a linear throttle map into the tune you buy. Ask them.

Manic tunes already have a linear map. Helps modulate all that new found power !

I removed the SB after the tune. The both together made the car too jumpy and unpredictable around parking lots and corners
