What fell from my car??

After dropping the lady off at work, I backed up my R60 and heard a Big Crunch and saw this on the ground along with a nice hole in my tire from the screw on it. All signs point to this falling from my car although I can't figure out where it came from. What is this? Is it a Mini part? If so, what part is it? I just had some minor body work done around the wheel trim.
Piece I drove over with the dastardly nail.

The backaside I wish Indrove over instead.

Not the end of the world I hope it's just a flesh wound.

I don't know what it is, but, it appears to be an access panel of some sort. Check the wheel well if you haven't? Honestly it could be from underside as well. Just a guess.

goes in front of the wheel under the front bumper. it's like under panels whatever they call them.

right front tire. I believe it's there to protect the belts and such on that side of the motor.

Looks like the wrong bolts/ screws in it based on the pics. Maybe some had it off and used wrong fasteners to put it back on

Had similar experience on my JCW so used S/S button head BOLTS & NUTS rather than the screws which really don't have purchase. Looks good, too.
