Belly Pan

i see the jcw belly pan is available for us non-jcw'ers.. i don't see a cutout or anything to get to the oil drain plug. does the whole pan need to be dropped to change the oil via the plug ?

Hello,

The pan just has to be dropped for an oil change, it very light in weight. Much like the JCW GP 2 Belly pan kit.

Also there are little plastic washers on the back of the speed screws so when you undo they , they say with the tray, and don't fall to the ground.

We include all the additional hardware ( which does not come with just the pan ) so all you do is hold it in the middle and with a quick turn 1/2 of the phillips head screw , it comes out. You can see the speed screw on the corners of the pan.

Countryman / Paceman JCW Belly Pan Kit for the ALL4 and the JCW Countryman for the US , which was not a stock item. 51759809304KT 51759809304

Not hard for oil change.

Thanks and hope that helps.

You are welcome dpike.
Its more for aerodynamics since it was developed with the JCW Countryman / Paceman . With the added feature protects the under body from dirt and debris. Also it lines up very clean and completes the front underbody in my opinion.

Thanks

MINI must have figured out that GP parts were being bought for non-GP vehicles....they've tripled the cost from the original cost three months ago.

Thanks for the info guys.

First saw this on the European model JCW Countryman / Paceman, up until two months ago this part was on the MINI parts diagram for the US side. There must have been a change or it might be used for future MINIs in the US. We were glad be the only one to find it and see it fits certain models.

As for the oil change, you can see the post above, its easy to remove, just like the Gp 2 belly pan kit. So not much more for an oil change and will keep more of the dirt out.

We include all the extra install hardware.

Thanks

I was finally going to bite on one of these but it seems that the price went up. What gives?

The price fluctuates dependent of what supplier will charge. Looks like it went up a couple dollars from a while ago. We do include all the install hardware.

Thanks

Would you be able to clarify everything it comes with. Looking at a diagram, there should be 8 clips total that need to come with it, 5 of part number 7146981767 and 4 of part number 7146981768. And also 8 of 51718212163 and 51717110995. Is that correct?

Hello bmrguy03,

Just saw your post. Comes with 6 additional clips needed for the install. When you take off the side splash guard ( passenger side ) you will those clips there, and then add the 6 in the other blank ( missing locations ), line up the pan and turn the pre-installed speed screws at all 9 locations.

We built the kit with hardware to be in all-in-one install as we did all the work to make sure it works for you . PM me if you need anything else.

Thanks

Does this help with reducing cabin noise at freeway speeds?

Based similar to the one we have for the GP2 for the R56+ platform on an R56. Engine noise and road noise was decreased pretty good. The contours of the vents seem to stream the air where we could not hear any wind noise. Thanks

I bought one from ecstuning when they first had it available ... finally installed it last saturday ... it does reduce wind noise some but now I hear more tire noise but overall it is a little quieter

install was very easy ... I did not even jack the car up

I have also noticed the coolant temp dropped about 10F but the oil temp stayed the same ... based on the scangauge II readouts
