I've had the game for a while, but now that I had an actual test drive of the vehicle I am addicted to only driving a MINI in the game. The real-world test-drive experience actually made it possible for me to understand how this wacky little car handles and I must say taht X-box did a very good job of modeling the car's physics.

Really fun to beat cars like Boxters in the game.

Any other good MINI racing games out there?

Cheat: If you make a driver name Nosliw (spell and capitalize it exactly) you get every possible car, special paint skins (british flag roof MINI!), and all available race courses.

Have fun!

When X-Box live is up and going strong, we are going to have to organize some X-Box MINI Rallys!

One of my buds has the Project Gotham. I think the best course to do is the hard level San Fran. race. I love drifting around those corners. My highest Kodos points on that level was 1150. Love beating that AWD Beetle.
I have games for the PS2 and PS1. For them there are Italian Job, Dare Devil, Gran Turismo 1&2. So far those are the only Mini related Playstation games that I'm aware of.
The best of the best racing games by far I think is the 3rd edition of Gran Turismo for the PS2. They do an awesome job on the graphics and effects. They show the movement in suspension, heat waves given off the cars and the pavement, rotors heating up to orange and red, sparks flying out from under the car when cornering over bumps and such, modding out the cars, tire wear, oil changes, and even the vacuum/suction when travelling fast behind another car, and then feeling the force of the air when pulling out in first place around the track. It's probably the best example of realistic racing available to the public.
I'm no gaming nut, but I do love my racing video games.
Cheers,

I would love to take another test drive, but I am probably not allowed back at the local MINI dealer.

haha....make fun of me all you want, but I first fell in love with the Cooper when I was exposed to it on my big screen TV with Gotham Racing and Xbox Steering wheel. Anyway, it was the only way I could "test drive" it, considdering the dealer wouldn't let me test drive the real one with a junior license. Too bad the real one doesn't come with a restart button.

And yes, I do fear for the future of my generation.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I hadn't picked up Gotham Racing for months until I bought my mini. Now I race all the time using a silver cooper s. Loads of fun and best handling car in the game.

What kind of Cooper'S' was it? Classic or new style? Any chance you might be back in that area to go in and check out what the name of the game is? I have a PS2 and am all about racing. And having MINI related games is a bonus. I'd like to know what it is. I'm thinking it could be Dare Devil. Thanx.

I just bought Sega GT 2002, which seems to have more realistic car handling, but alas, no BMW/MINI or VW/Audi products in the game. Probably a better simulator and lots of cool modification abilities lacking in PGR which is a little more of an arcade game. They are just different, but both are lots of fun.

I like winning the hardest quick races in X-Box PGR with my Chili Red British Flag roof MCS.

Just startted with Sega GT 2002, and have only driven the Audi TT on an easy setting.

Yep. SHOX for PS2, my kids just bought it at Costco for $19 yesterday. New MINI S...pretty cool. Also have DareDevil, & GT2...have been looking for the PS2 Italian Job, but only found it for the PC.

Please don't tell me I have to go out and buy a PS2 now! I saw some rally game with a MCS on it the other day on Tech TV and it was the end of the show and I had no idea what the game was or what platfortm.

I have an ex-box but my next door neighbor has the PS2, so maybe I am going to have to buy a PS2 game and arrange a trade sometime

This sure is an old thread to dredge up!
