Engine Block Heater

Are there engine block heaters for the winter months available for the Mini?

Good question. You'd think one would come with the Cold Weather Package, but I haven't seen it mentioned.

Try this

A 40-watt light long-life or Mizer bulb plugged into a heavy-duty shop lite, placed directly under the oil pan, but not touching it. Worked for me in Wyoming a few years back, where 20-30 below was the norm (hit -62 once!) Just make sure it's dry where U place the lite. Jimbo

Yes there now is a block heater for the MINI in Canada, not sure about the U.S.
My tech. at the dealer says it's lots of work to install.
At -47F after sitting all night,my MC fired up and was ready to roll
I have a charger that works through the cig, ligther, that can keep the battery up.With the oil we should run in the car,it does not get thick as the temp drops.
It is weird to not have a block heater where I live, everything else has one,but my small 1.6L engine that powers my MINI does not need one

I have seen dipstick heaters that are inserted into the oil dipstick tube and have a heater at the bottom. No installation.

Yes that is another option, but the stick may not set well enough to drive the car.So you have to pull the heater and replace with the stock stick to drive,so you don't spray oil all over.
If you have a good battery, the MINI will start
