F55/F56 Best Deals?
Best Deals?
Anyone actively looking at buying a new 2 Door HT? Recently purchased one and had a great deal?
Any info you can pass along. I'm finding local dealer doesn't want to deal and dealers a bit far away will give some $$ off.

When I bought in May (2016 model) there was a $1000 incentive, but since then I've only seen $500 dealer cash. And basically no inventory for the non-S models. I think the more base models like mine (only heated seats) literally fly off the lots at the low price point.
The 17's have the TV screen in the middle dash (which people love - I don't have it) but they lose the MINI driving modes as standard.
I did inventory searched around DC when I was buying and they had WAY MORE S models and Clubmans on the lots.
Good luck.

I waited until the end of the year deals. I bought mine off the lot on thanksgiving weekend and got 2k off MSRP, plus swapped the standard 16" wheels for the 17" tentacle spoke at no charge. I think I even talked them down another $250. I should have asked for free rubber floor mats but it didn't occur to me.
I left half way through the deal. They tried to keep me there but I said I needed to think about it. Two hours later I bought it. The sales guy called me while I was away asking if he could answer any questions or help me in anyway in my decision. I probably could have talked them down more but I went back and bought it for the original deal. They did try to give me a 1.9% interest rate and I pushed it back at him. I told him I had excellent credit, so then they came back with .9%.
Be patient, wait until the end of the month / year, go in during the week when they're slow and hungry. Good luck!

Dealers are more willing to give greater discounts on in-stock Mini's than on ordered cars. The best prospect seems last year's model sitting on a dealer lot for a long time coupled with an aggressive incentive from Mini. The internet, email, and phone are your friends in finding these cars and negotiating deals. This can be time consuming. The dealer's distance means little. Know what you want, be patient, and the right car and deal will eventually appear. When you find it, jump on it.
Some dealers use "Sonic Pricing". Similar to True Car. The longer the car sits on the dealers lot, the more it gets reduced. That pricing is on top of any other incentives Mini may have or Military discounts you may be entitled to (USAA).

Sticker on mine was $29,900. I had a trade in so hard to know exactly what I paid but even before trade they already had car marked down to $27,500. This was just last week on 2016 S.
They initially offered me $27, 000 for trade, when all was said and done with fees etc I walked out with $500 check in my pocket from them.
I'm betting they will sell my trade close to $35 so they win as always.

Found a lightly used 14 F56 with 6600 miles, so I gave up on the new car deals. Already has paint chips so I don't have to stress my first one. Three MINI family and an extra VW going away soon.
I got $2k off msrp on an ordered 2016 last year 11/15. All I did was e-mail multiple dealers asking for their best deal with the exact options I wanted on an ordered car, and I received a few responses. One was a pdf with 2k off.
The dealer would not be in business if everyone got the "best deal". Having been buying cars longer than most of the guys selling them have been alive, my general view is negotiate so I feel like I did as best as I can, walk out knowing I got screwed anyways.
