Need Zany Money-Making Scheme

I'm still bent on becoming a new MINI owner. I've been perusing this forum regularly, against my better judgement. I really detest wanting things, but ultimately love having things - if that makes any sense. Reading all of the enthusiastic posts on this forum just aggravates my longing.

Basically, this is the only thing I feel I am able to talk about that is relevant to MINIs, so you may have heard this from me before, but ... we're too deep in the hole to spring for a new car at the moment.

So, I need to contrive a "zany money-making scheme" to expedite the process of acquiring "buckets of cash". I welcome your suggestions or advice!

IDEA 1: Hire a bush pilot to fly myself and my wife in a small plane to the jungles of South America to find lost Mayan treasure. This is a viable option, but the mosquitoes are a big turn-off, so I think we'll probably pass on this idea.

IDEA 2: Procreate as often as possible, and sell my resulting offspring on eBay. While this is feasible, and healthy newborns go for roughly $30k, I think this may be against eBay's policy. Therefore, we may have to pass on this idea as well ... but if we do go this route, I'm keeping this guy.

IDEA 3: Employ my web development skills to create basic, zero maintenance, yet high dollar "web brochures" for wealthy organizations. I am a web developer by trade, but any additional projects would most likely require more commitment than I am able to provide. It is an option nonetheless - but this idea is nowhere near zany enough!

IDEA 4: Get everyone on the Internet to PayPal me $1.00. Okay, that is zany - and even if that worked, I'd feel so bad about acquiring buckets of cash in such a lame and undeserving manner! But still, you never know -https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/websc...te@comcast.net

IDEA 5: Have a garage sale, and put the profits toward a brand new MCS. We gather so much stuff its insane. Our basement is packed to the hilt with stuff. This isn't zany enough either, because it really needs to be done, and I doubt the profits would go to my MINI. The fallen insulation has been fixed since this picture was taken.

IDEA 6: Collect rocks from a local anthracite reserve, and sell them on eBay as actually meteorite shards - such as the one that hit that Peekskill car back in 1992. That initially sounded a bit fraudulent, but we are drifting through space, are we not? In any case, I'm skeptical that there'd be much profit to be had there.

IDEA 7: Sell my intellectual property ... <pause> ... Scratch that. I don't foresee myself being the producer of valuable intellectual property. Look at this post, for instance. This is a horribly pointless endeavor. I think I still like IDEA 1 the best.

If you made it this far, I'm impressed! Please note, that most of my ideas were completely in jest. I do not endorse fraudulent activities, or the private sale of children. I fully realize that the MINI is "just a car", and I plan to wait until the time is right. That doesn't mean I like waiting, so every now and then, you're going to have to put up with posts like this from me!

Idea #8 - Have the adorable child learn some obscure trick that he can do on national television and use all the money he earns.

Idea #9 - Invent a coffee cup that holds more than 4 ounces and still fits into the MINI front cupholders. Sell to MINI owners at highly inflated prices, because we will buy it!

Idea #10 - On ebay, sell all the barely used toys and clothes that the child (ie. parents) just had to have. (I can say this because I have a child and I was horrible about all the do-hickeys we had to have and never used.)

Good Luck - I waited, waited and waited for mine...and it was worth the wait!

The rocks falling from the sky scheme won't work.We don't drift through space,we are hurtling along at a very good clip,on a known path.

Some chick was on tv due to her attempting idea#4 there. She was trying to pay off credit card bills and such and set up a website for people to donate like a buck or something, rather than get off her *** and work harder for it. But then in the segment on tv, she's walking by a store and sees some shoes, clothing or something like that in the window that she likes, and is almost pulled to buy them. But her idea actually started working. She did end up getting some donations. Not nearly as much as she needs/wants. That's just damn pathetic. I hate lazy people.
Beliefs in my family has always been as such: "If you want something bad enough, work your *** off for it, 'cause it ain't coming from nowhere." There's times where I was working 2 and 3 jobs just to save up for toys that I wanted. One being my MCS.
Happy hunting for ideas
Cheerio,

Sericulture. This country could use a good silkworm rearing business.

Mini wrangling:
pick up new Minis at the dealer's, drive them through the break-in period going faster, slower, faster, slower, a little braking, faster, slower, faster, a little braking, never over 4500 rpm, slower, faster, and deliver them rarin' to go.

We contributed 10 bux to the cause already... and our cars will be better decorated for it!

BTW, the decals got here really fast, and look great! If the weather holds, they'll probably be applied this weekend.

Thank you very much for your purchase! I'm glad you like the decals! I want to make more MINI-themed decals, but I haven't had any ideas for new designs.

Already in the hole

It's gonna be tough saving dough with your kid already getting nicked by the cops in his beetle. Hope the fine wasn't too stiff!
Enjoyed your post! Good luck, it's worth the wait!

Here goes my idea, I still haven't worked out all the legal kinks and getting insured has been a problem.

Step 1 - Find a Discovery Zone, Chuck E Cheese, Amusement Park, Arcade Etc.

Step 2 - Lease space next to said property.

Step 3 - Open daycare out of back of leased property.

Step 4 - Rent kids to singles/couple w/ no kids to try it our or visit establishments from step 1 w/o looking like stalkers.

Good point, but perhaps the universe itself drifts through space.

This is a swell idea, John! I want to do this! Anyone needing a MINI wrangler, PM me here on NAM! We'll work out the logistics and my fee is negotiable! Tee hee! I already own a red cowgal hat purchased in Madrid, NM on last year's cross-country roadtrip! So, you see? I'm rarin' to go!
