I am curious if anyone else has experienced a coil failure on the CM? Mine is a '14 ALL4 S with 39,xxx miles on it. I drove the car for about 5 minutes and was just entering the interstate, accelerating moderately, and the engine stumbled and immediately had a severe miss. I pulled over, had the vehicle towed to Mini of Pittsburgh. They found the issue and replaced the coil under warranty.

$15 out of pocket (* for towing), so no biggie, but I was surprised at what I consider an early failure on a coil. But, I also know that it is mechanical and everything will fail at some point.

Seems a bit low for the coils to be going out, but we've put clutches in cars with less miles than that.

Well,....quite a few views and it seems I am in the minority with this issue, so I will chalk it up to "it's mechanical" and let it go at that.

I am just really fortunate it happened where it did and that everything worked out the way it did. I was on the way to the airport and had to wake my wife up at 3am for a ride, but,....
