R50/53 GTT Larger Throttle Body
GTT Larger Throttle Body
Hey Miniacs! Sorry for all the questions today but Im sitting at work and have NOTHING to do. Looking to place an order from GTT in the UK, because you know its ridiculous that I can get a rear sway bar shipped for cheaper than what I can get one here in America for, plus a beefy front bar for only a tad more.
I was looking at their larger throttle body and was wondering if anyone was using it. If so, thoughts? Will the stock air intake elbow fit it? I have a silicone hose currently, but I assume those and the stocker fit the same.

Can anyone confirm this? I'll be pushing more air with a header and custom exhaust, and I currently have a DDM intake. It wouldn't be beneficial once I go street cam and tune?

i would think that you need to more a lot more air to gain the benefits. such as 20+ psi with turbo setup, bvh and cam.
I would think the intake manifold will run out of plenum volume before you need a larger throttle body

Why on earth would someone sell a product like that without giving the public that kind of Knowledge? Like apparently, what's the point. Im not gonna drop 2K+ on a head. That's 1/4 of what I paid for the car. Not to mention a remote
Tune is stupid expensive as well.

I have a larger TB (don't remember the specs, it's the unit Dinan used to sell) and the only time it possibly made a difference was with the Sprintex change, stock S/C and BVH there was very little noticeable difference, and only at the very top of the RPM (7200+)
